The 2010 show

A great big thank you to everyone for the tremendous support for the Show on Sunday, 12 September, 2010.  It was a great day with many residents of De Beauvoir, E8, Islington and beyond attending. It was astounding  the number of incredibly willing, thoughtful people who helped and thanks go to them all.  The event is a big fund raiser for the club and we appreciate the area’s support.

The winners of the cups are as follows:
Rose Bowl  - Carolyn Marcus for attaining the highest marks of 13 points* in Flower and Produce

Silver Tankard - Lola Brandelli (aged 15) for attaining the highest marks of 10 points in Domestic Delights

Members Cup - Cecilia Darker for her floral arrangement

Runners up were:

Stephen King with 10 points

Barbara Barnet and Tom McManus each with 7 points

In Domestic Delights

            Maggie Bankart and Liz Thoday each with 6 points

 * 3 points awarded for a 1st, 2 points for a 2nd and 1 point for a 3rd prize in each category

First Prize:   Kitty Reeves age 8 and Lori Tomlin age 5
Second Prizes:  Becky Hudson age 11  and  Sophie Lees Johnston age 12
Several children competed in the adults’ competition.  Highly commended went to:

We also welcomed ten new members who joined on the day.
