| Foxes | Home |
| June 22, 2006 Dear Gulay, Christopher and Rob, Another request I'm afraid. The urban foxes are a complete menace round here and I wondered if the council can be prevailed on to do anything. I believe they would take action against rats - though I personally never see any of those - or would send someone in to destroy ants' nests - since when were these a real menace? - but they won't try and do anything about the bloody foxes. These regularly rampage through all our gardens. They carry disease and they are highly destructive. I know of people with very little money round here (and people with more than enough!) whose gardens are very important to them. They are deeply distressed by the daily damage that is being caused. Plants are trampled or dug up, deep holes are dug in lawns and filthy rubbish from other people's bins is distributed around the gardens. A health hazard, not to say an eyesore. I know that if you clear foxes from an area, others will move in, but if something could be done on, say a twice-yearly basis, it would give us a good deal of respite. We would all appreciate it if you could encourage the council to take action. I look forward to hearing from you. Thanks Hilary |
