Mike Jackson of Camden Nurseries will be available as well as DBG members with specific expertise.

AGM and Activity

 

 ‘Show and Tell’ – we would like some members to volunteer to talk about something (triumph OR problem) in their garden for discussion.

Hardy Geraniums - history & propagation

 

Jacqueline Aviolet of  Rosie's Garden Plants.  Jacqueline is in her 23rd year of running her nursery growing asters, hardy geraniums and plants with people's names, terms of endearment and cheeky asides. She loves giving talks and may bring along things to sell.

Gardening  in May  and A  Year  at  Westminster Abbey

Chris Collins, www.chriscollins.org.uk, who did the BBC programme Wonder of Weeds the BBC Blue Peter gardener, will be giving us advice on May and talking about his experience as a gardener at Westminster Abbey.

Family Growing Day

This will be a day time activity for families in the area to be held at Eastern Curve.  Helpers needed.

Gardeners Question Time

Note this is the second Tuesday as the first is a bank holiday There will be a local panel of experts to answer your gardening questions. 

3rd July

Garden Walkabout

We are looking for someone(s) to organise this.  They will need to find 4-5 people in De Beauvoir who will show their gardens.

7th July

De Beauvoir Party in the Park with DBG stand planting seeds with children.

The DBG always has a stall at Party in the Park to help children plant seeds. 

14th July

City Garden Walk – 11 am meeting at St Pauls tube station, exit nearest to St Pauls.

Gilly Blachford, a qualified guide and neighbour, has agreed to take us on a guided walk.   There will be a charge of £3 for members and £5 for non-members.  (The normal rate for these walks is £7)
