St Mary's Secret Garden
St. Mary’s Secret Garden is a beautiful and accessible community garden with a difference in Hackney.
For over 25 years it has offered a safe space where people with support needs and the local community can get hands-on experience of gardening, gain a sense of inclusion and receive the benefits of horticulture and other ecotherapy activities.
This helps those in need to combat isolation, develop valuable employment skills, gain qualifications and contribute to a greener, healthier, happier community.
We are open for sales on Tuesdays from 10am until 1pm, and on Friday afternoon on 11th and 18th December.
We have a lovely range of plants, herbs, garden crafts and preserves, including winter-flowering bulbs, garden honey, handmade jams and chutneys.

Festive Wreath Making Workshop
Get creative and make your very own wreath for the festive season with our resident florist Antoinette!
The ticket price includes a wreath resource pack which you will have to arrange to pick up from the garden in the week leading up to the workshop.
Your wreath resource pack will contain everything you need to make a beautiful biodegradable festive wreath such as:
Moss-padded wreath ring, selection of conifer foliage, holly and ivy with berries, decorative pine cones and fruits, cinnamon bark sticks, festive ribbons, and natural twine to fix all your items to your wreath.
You will also receive recipes for a mulled beverage of your choice to enjoy while you craft along with Antoinette on Zoom!
